H and M Project

For my first blog post of my fabulous new website I want to talk about the H&M collaboration that I was lucky enough to take part in for my first project of my second year of surface pattern design. Experiencing a live brief project for the first time was challenging, fun and exciting - I really enjoyed myself and I feel like my work really grew throughout the project.

I was really excited when I first heard about the project, although I wasn't really sure I wanted to win because the prospect of working for a big company has never really appealed to me as my individual flare is very important to me and I want to always use that in my designs.

I received encouraging feedback throughout the project that really boosted my confidence in myself which lead to me spending more time of my work and, in turn, make my work grow.

It was really inspiring and fun to see how everyone else's work was progressing as well, to see how we were all making changes and adapting our work to the project. Given the chance, I would love to participate in a live brief like this again.
